Holiday Dive Inn is a budget hotel in the Semporna Seafront township, and for divers it does exactly what a Semporna hotel should do: put you within a short walk of the jetty, the restaurants and your morning boat. The PADI 5-star IDC centre Sipadan Scuba is in the immediate neighbourhood, with the waterfront cafés, convenience stores and a pharmacy all around it.

A word of local advice: if you're arriving from Tawau airport (about an hour and a quarter by road), aim to reach Semporna the evening before your diving starts. Boats leave in the morning, and having your gear sorted, your permit paperwork checked and a proper breakfast in you makes for a much better first day on the water.
