Here, among massive and towering jungle trees of the Kalabi-Sepilok Forest Reserve, numerous different bird species, fascinating tropical plants and grasses, the wood chalets of the resort rest beside a peaceful and wondrously beautiful natural lake.

Surrounding the resort there is a garden which offers an astounding display of tropical plants, and a collection of over a hundred and fifty different South-East Asian orchid species including the famous grammatophyllum speciosum or 'giant tiger orchid'.

Sepilok Accommodations

The resort's wood chalets are fully air-conditioned with twin beds and private bathrooms that have running hot water. Each chalet has a veranda with a view of either the serene lake or the exotic jungle.

The sight may remind you of lakeside cabins in tranquil woods, but these timber chalets are in the midst of a great jungle.

Sepilok Facilities

The large, center building of the resort features a lounge, a sundeck, covered beer terraces, a restaurant, and a souvenir shop.

There are also guided tours of the nearby Sepilok Orang-utan Rehabilitation Center. Other tours for things such as bird watching or jungle trekking can be arranged.
