This course gives you the chance to take your technical deep diving knowledge to the next level.
As the next step in your technical diver education, this course will equip you with the knowledge and skill set to confidently advance to becoming a qualified technical deep diver.
WHO is up for adventure?
This course is for the diver that is interested in technical diving and progressing to the deep diver qualification.
Learn how to dive up to 45 metres and become familiar with the special considerations associated with diving at these depths.
Learn to master the basic skills associated with deep technical diving which are the starting point for your progression to even deeper depths. This course prepares you for any and all technical diving emergencies that may occur and will properly instruct you on how to handle such emergencies.
WHERE will it take me?
The next step would be the PADI Tec 50 course, which the PADI Tec 45 course helps you to prepare for.
WHEN will I be ready?
The course consists of either 4 or 5 dives that are spread out over 4 days. Two of these dives are done at Sipadan which is an added bonus.
WHY should I be excited?
By the time the PADI Tec 45 course ends, you'll be confident in your abilities to plan and execute single and multiple decompression dives using a single stage cylinder with no time limit to the amount of decompression.
HOW do I do it?
The course combines practical and theoretical components in addition to practice with equipment configuration.

Tec dive courses. Tec 45 is where technical diving stops being an introduction and becomes an identity. The next step after Tec 40, this course extends your qualified depth to 45 metres and — the real threshold — trains you for accelerated decompression diving using EANx or pure oxygen. Past this point, the surface is a planned destination, not an always-available exit.
Who's it for? Tec 40 divers ready to advance, with the certification, experience and mindset the syllabus assumes. The unofficial prerequisite is the important one: enjoying the planning as much as the dive — Tec 45 divers are people who find spreadsheets slightly thrilling, and the course rewards exactly that temperament.
What will I learn? Full decompression procedures: multi-gas planning and execution, stage-cylinder handling, oxygen-window theory put to practical use, failure drills rehearsed until they're boring — because boring is the goal in an emergency — and the team discipline that makes deco diving routine rather than brave. Knowledge development, practical applications and training dives build the complete skill set.
