Lobster Wall
Lobster Wallは、マブールで最高のダイブサイトと言っても過言ではありません。
このダイブサイトには、ロブスターをはじめとする多くの生き物が生息する素晴らしい壁(ドロップオフ)があります。
One of the best sites in Mabul, this deep open water wall and reef dive with depths from 25 to 40m and with good viz of 20m, is crammed with colourful fish such as ghost pipe-fish, clown-fish, impressive looking lion-fish, seahorses, rabbit-fish and puffer-fish all hiding amongst the crevices and ledges off the wall and inside the corals. Lobster Wallはマブールの中でも一味違うポイントです。島で最高のダイブサイトとも言えますし、間違いなく最も「マブールらしくない」場所でしょう。島の他の場所が浅い砂地やガレ場であるのに対し、ここは水深25メートルから40メートルまで落ち込む本格的なオープンウォーターのドロップオフ/壁で、透明度は20メートルに達することもよくあります。マブールのボートスケジュールのままで、シパダンの地形に一番近い体験ができる場所なんです。
Life on the wall
壁自体が生き物でいっぱいです。名前の由来となった裂け目のロブスター、オーバーハングに陣取るミノカサゴ、海藻類に隠れるニシキフウライウオやタツノオトシゴ、クマノミの団地、そして壁面をついばむアイゴやフグ。しっかりと計画を立てて潜る価値があります。深場からスタートしてゆっくりと上がっていけば、最初の水深と同じくらい、最後の10メートルでもたくさんの生き物に出会えますよ。

Fair warning from the depth numbers: with a 25-metre starting line, this is a dive for comfortable Open Water divers and above, and it's precisely the site where an Advanced Open Water certification pays for itself — both for the depth ceiling and the confidence.
